As part of its 2011 Social Involvement Plan and its commitment to the sustainable development of the Aysén Region, Energía Austral invites the inhabitants of the Aysén municipal district to participate in an annual round of bids for funding under the Pilot Programme of its Productive Development Fund for the support of local entrepreneurial projects. The Programme is open to economic initiatives, presented by individuals or organisations, that are of direct benefit to their productive activities.

Its aim is to support and encourage local entrepreneurship through two lines of funding corresponding to:

• start-ups
• the development of existing businesses or productive enterprises.

The Fund’s term sheet can be obtained free-of-charge between Tuesday 23 August and Friday 23 September 2011 (inclusive) at the offices of Energía Austral in Sargento Aldea N° 965, first floor, Puerto Aysén, from 09:30 to 12:30 in the morning, or by downloading it from the company’s website, www.energiaaustral.cl
