Energía Austral’s construction and operation will give an important boost to the local economy due to its demand for different services and inputs that it has opted to acquire in the Region, including transport, security and cleaning services, catering and hotel services and the retail trade. The installation of the hydroelectric plants, therefore, represents an opportunity for local businesses of different sizes and in different sectors.

Energía Austral has already launched a programme to support local entrepreneurship, which includes training, promotion and the inclusion of service providers in its supplier network.
