For the construction of the Cuervo, Blanco and Cóndor plants, as well as their future maintenance, Energía Austral plans to implement a series of infrastructure projects in the Aysén municipal district.

These projects will require an estimated investment of US$47.6 million between 2012 and 2014 and include the construction of roads, quays and bridges in the areas around the plants.

In addition, it has an agreement with the Mutual de Seguridad, an occupational health and safety organisation, to strengthen the latter’s healthcare infrastructure in Puerto Aysén by building a new outpatient medical centre there. This initiative also seeks to avoid excess pressure on local health services.
